I thought it was a good time to get around to doing something I've been meaning to put together for a while:

| ART - 2007 Round-Up |
[04 Jan 2008|09:07pm] |
My Grand Harry Potter Fan-Art Round-up of 2007
I'm quite pleased with the progress I've made this year - I'm more and more satisfied with things and feel I've sort of caught-up to the skill level I had before I gave up drawing.
 SoHW Draco and the Crane
Happy New Year Everyone! And a big thanks to all those people whose comments encourage me and feed my ravening desire for praise. ;)

Drop Dead Gorgeous - Chapter 7
Media used: Pen and wash
I would like to share my illustration to Maya's brilliant Drop Dead Gorgeous, that beautiful scene at the end of chapter 7.

| ART - HP: DH "Is Draco Alive?" |
[21 Aug 2007|11:47pm] |
More art - I'm on a bit of a role at the moment. Still pen and ink. Gotta work up the courage to have another bash with the old watercolours.
Illustration to "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", Chapter 36.
'...He could hear the woman's fast breathing, her long hair tickled his face. He knew she could feel the steady pounding of life against his ribs. "Is Draco alive? Is he at the castle?"'
I just love Narcissa. I'm glad she got to be so strong in the final book.

| ART - Harry and Draco as Aurors |
[16 Aug 2007|11:53pm] |
Alongside my fondness for Harry and Draco as professors at Hogwarts, I am particularly partial to stories with Harry and Draco as Aurors.
The idea here is combat training and Draco has finally succeeded in getting Harry pinned. He is chuffed, Harry is not.

| New Gallery |
[15 Aug 2007|09:33pm] |
So, in anticipation of my LJ gallery expiring when my membership does, I've set up an account at DeviantART. Here is my DeviantART Gallery
Oh my word, such a palarver getting that all sorted out and images uploaded. I've had just about enough of learning new systems and rules for this week! Still, I am all set now. :)

| Fight Fandom-blues with ART |
[12 Aug 2007|11:58pm] |
So, I've done a little fan-art.
It's Harry/Draco, rating G, in pen and ink.
I'm too tired and it's too late to try and figure out how to post images here, so here's a link to it on my LJ:

I'm now raitala at GJ, IJ and Journalfen - it is going to do my head in.
BTW, I have a paid account at JF, so I think that means I can request accounts for other people, if anyone wants one.
GJ is zoooo ugly, but it seems to be the place where the majority are drifting. There are adverts everywhere OMG! *flails* I'm sorely tempted to try and sort out the layouts and upload some of my fanart, but this will be a massive, massive headache for me as I have only the most tenuous of grasps on how to manage these things. I think I'll wait a bit longer to see where people are headed. It can't possibly be necessary for me to run four journals simultaneously.
Instead, far more positively, I'm going to try and do some art this weekend. :)
I've got lots of ideas for some Harry/Draco and a crack piece with Akira, Ogata and Shindou and even a first Roy/Ed piece. See, I still love my fandoms, even with all this headache going on. I hope you all feel the same! *hugs flist*
Now all I need is not to be already committed to do things all weekend. Oh and not to be obsessively poking at my four journals.
